According to my father, I was found under a rock as a baby by some gypsies, who then sold me to my parents for some unknown amount (possibly a cow). The fact that I wouldn't be all that surprised if this was true should tell you something about me.
Odd things bring me joy. I love the coffee display in supermarkets, and taking the little plastic ring off a brand new gallon of milk, and standing in lighting/fan aisle of home improvement stores. My eyes light up like a kid's in a candy store in book shops, garden centers, and yes, when my sweet tooth is acting up, candy stores. I find "No Vacancy" signs unsettling for some reason. I'm afraid of man-made heights and being thought stupid.
I go to an overpriced liberal arts college in Portland where I'm majoring in math and minoring in art; I fear I may be doomed to academia. My favourite author is Terry Pratchett, my favourite artist is Ursula Vernon, and my favourite food is olive and pineapple pizza.

Most people, I think, keep livejournals for other people, as a way to communicate and connect. I'm keeping this for myself, as a record of my days. As such, I rather doubt it will be of interest to others, but if any out there really want to read it, feel free.
